• I installed a new MacBook Air from 2017 and a Samsung Evo 970, 500GB, TRIM activated - and everything works as it should! Thanks for the fast delivery. It was important to me that I write a message because nobody knew exactly whether it would be 100%, but the 970 from Samsung also works!
• The adapter came much faster than advertised (after one week instead of four). Provided you have the right screwdriver set (pentalop), the conversion is easy and can be done within 15 minutes. The adapter is the right size, plugging in the m.2 SSD is problem-free. The supplied screw holds the adapter and SSD in place. There are no problems with the height of the adapter and SSD. The Macbook can be closed and screwed normally (without any effort). The original SSD was replaced by a Samsung EVO 970 1TB. The speed tests speak for themselves.
• so far everything is going great. throughput is approx. 1500 mb / s read / write max., which is probably close to the theoretical maximum with the existing pcie 2.0 x4 bus. total costs amount to almost 130 euro (!) for adapter and ssd - probably a dream price compared to the other alternatives. we’ll be curious to see how it goes in the hard day-to-day work. I will add new experiences here. update 14.03.2019: so far everything is running smoothly. Incidentally, delivery time is just under a week, as the shipment apparently takes place from Germany.
